My dear friends at the Universal Temple for Higher Consciousness
(UTHC) have offered to open their 22 acre canyon retreat for the
purpose of holding a weekend (or more) Pagan festival.
There is an energy vortex present, you can feel it. The grounds
have always been considered sacred ground. The site is also home to
the Self Realization Fellowship and the Bernard Jensen Center. This
place is about 20 minutes east of Escondido, so it is close! The site
has an outdoor shower and has already hosted groups of up to 150. They
have recently more than doubled in size. Kennedy, who is the UTHC's
event promoter, is comfortable with having up to 350 people. The
grounds are beautiful! There are plenty of shade trees, seclusion,
interesting places, and amazing views. This space represents an
incredible opportunity for San Diego pagans
Allowed (yes I said allowed!)
Drumming
Fires
Nudity
Ritual highly encouraged!
There is plenty of room for RVs, hookups are not in place right now
but are in the works.
My friends at the UTHC are collectively known as "the God Squad".
Their retreat grounds are regularly home up to many kinds of amazing
performers who put on shows at the temple. I have known them for a
couple of years.
The UTHC is happy to work with us, they do need our support so we will
need to charge a fee, but we can keep it reasonable. We do not have to come up with money up front to hold the site.
The UTHC also needs work, they are open to energistic exchange so
money does not have to be a bar from attendance.
Please contact me if you are interested in organizing this event with
me. I am going to do this, the Temple has already agreed to have a
Pagan festival, the only question left is when.
I have wanted to hold a Pagan Retreat in San Diego for years. This is gonna be a blast!

Re: Site located for Pagan festival, help wanted
Thu, May 1, 2008 - 8:49 AMHello! I know this place. It is a beautiful spot. Have you figured out a date? I have been looking for a way to get more involved as I've been very solitary and I am ready to meet other like minded people. I may be able to help. I am a great organizer and I am an energy worker. Let me know. Thanks! Happy Beltane!
